Mr. Shank is a 2006 graduate of The University of Akron with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and a 2012 graduate of The University of Akron with a Master’s degree in Principalship.  Prior to becoming the Principal of Greenwood, he was the Principal, Assistant Principal, and a First Grade Teacher at Green Primary School. Mr. Shank was honored in 2019 to receive the Franklin B. Walter Outstanding Educator Award in the category of Growing Great Schools for his contributions to the education of students with disabilities.  He was also nominated as the Green and District PTA Teacher of the Year in 2011.  

When he is not at Greenwood, he enjoys spending time with his wife, two children and their many animals on their hobby farm.  He also enjoys running, biking, reading and completing home improvement projects.
